Why Us

Andrew Dickens

  • Andrew started working with business owners in 2009 when he moved from his former investment firm Intersecurities to the John Hancock Financial Network in central Florida. After five years with John Hancock, Andrew met the CEO of his new firm at an advisor roundtable for small business exit planning and made the transition to Summit Wealth Partners LLC as an investment fiduciary and financial planner. Andrew remains at Summit Wealth as the Director of Pension Services, helping small and medium sized businesses manage their 401(k) and pension plans, as well as personal financial planning and investment management. He is also the managing agent for the sister company Summit Asset Protection Group LLC. In 2015 Andrew wrote his first book, “Rescued: 401k Plan Traps Business Owners Must Avoid and Fix”.
  • Andrew’s focus at Summit Wealth has been on the business owner market, who have unique challenges compared to non-owners. Andrew has partnered with a variety of other planning experts including CPAs and attorneys, bringing solutions to their business clients as well as to his own.
  • In 2021, Andrew received the blessing from Summit Wealth to form his own practice specializing in small business owner succession and transition strategies, and Legacy Business Design LLC was born. He continues his roles at Summit while helping business owners with their business planning needs through Legacy.
  • When Andrew is not working, he’s spending time with his wife and daughters in DeBary, FL. Andrew enjoys hiking, fishing, and kayaking in his spare time, and until recently had been a volunteer SAC and District Advisory Council member at Volusia County Public Schools for over ten years.
